Tarot Crow is hiring a Shop Assistant! 

This is a part-time role with possibility to convert to full-time. Located at my flagship retail location in the Pike Place Market underground in Seattle, WA. This little shop features one of the largest collections of Tarot & Oracle decks in North America as well as over 100 hand-made Vegan ritual self-care products. It's a highly curated experience and a destination for Tarot readers, collectors and beginners from all over the world. 

Responsibilities Include:

• Helping customers to navigate the world of Tarot and find decks that speak to them. 

• Educating the public on the Tarot, Oracle Decks, Divination, Herbalism and other aspects of the metaphysical world. 

• Packaging and presenting of Tarot Crow handmade ritual self-care products. This includes candles, incense, body oils, bath bombs and more.  

• Packing and fulfilling online and wholesale orders. Delivering orders to carriers and shops when needed. 

• Daily use of Shopify Point of Sale & eCommerce Platforms. Includes updating inventory and some online publishing and merchandising. 

• Maintaining a clean, organized and safe shop environment in a bustling market, which sometimes involves enforcing the boundaries of the shop. 

• Managing the customer experience in a tiny shop during Tarot readings and classes.

• Assisting with the planning and operations of Radical Vegan Festival, a quarterly Vegan festival which is founded and organized by the shop.

This role operates in a sort of apprenticeship model, with lots of opportunity for skill-building. Familiarity with Tarot is a requirement, but I'm happy to provide training. I'm an open book with my practice and love to teach. 

Tarot Crow is the only 100% Vegan non-food retailer in Washington state and one of the only Vegan metaphysical brands in the US. Ethical Veganism is an important aspect of this business. Products of animal exploitation are prohibited from the shop and I sponsor an animal advocacy organization every month. An ideal candidate has experience communicating thoughtfully about ethical Veganism and animal rights with the public.
